NEW CONSTRUCTION VS. RETROFIT PROJECTS

Retrofitting to LEDs to save energy can also mean energy rebates for your customers.

Rebates are paid out once all appropriate paperwork is filled out and submitted to the utility company.

Most utility companies offer rebates for converting to LED energy-efficient equipment.

New Construction

• No pre-inspection • Alternate proposal may be required • Some utilities may not offer rebates or incentives

Retrofit Projects

• Pre-inspection may be required • Documentation of existing fixtures necessary, such as survey or pictures • Will need wattage, ballast type, quantity, bulb type • Post inspection may be required

ENERGY SERVICES

Black Knight Energy offers the following energy services to our commercial customers:

• Utility Rebate Services: BKEG will evaluate customer projects in order to

capture maximum utility rebates for energy savings projects. Utility rebates

are available for both new construction and retrofit projects.

• Energy Consumption Reporting: BKEG will provide weather normalized

reports for sites highlighting over consumption of energy. Sites can be

evaluated to determine root cause and subsequent corrective actions.

• Utility Rate and Billing Checks: BKEG will ensure customer sites are on the

correct utility rate. Incorrect rates will be corrected and overbillings will be

recovered from utility and returned to customer.

• Deregulated Rate Services: BKEG will investigate the most beneficial

deregulated energy rates for customer sites. BKEG will provide guidance and

contract tracking for renewals.

• Energy Site Audits/Evaluations: BKEG will conduct site evaluations for

customer sites in order to identify energy saving opportunities. BKEG will

provide written reports outlining options for customers to improve

equipment and processes in order to reduce energy consumption.
