The patented V-cut pattern is engraved into the acrylic light guide to allow the edge-mounted LEDs to disperse light evenly across the acrylic lighting. While it is possible to disperse light across acrylic without an engraved pattern, the problem occurs when the acrylic becomes larger. Most undirected light will not disperse evenly. Our technology allows us to make extremely large custom panels that are evenly illuminated without any hotspots.
